The kitchen is the heart of your home. When thinking of doing a kitchen renovation it is important to decide the overall theme. Put a new roof on your Long island home.

If you are looking to have a new roof put on your home in Mattituck or Cutchogue you came to the right blog! We recommend using GAF products which are available at Riverhead Building Supply. The two standard types of roofing materials are wood shingles and asphalt shingles.

If you chose asphalt shingles you can pick the architectural style or a basic 3 tab. They both offer 25-30 years of protection. Now Timberline protects offer a lifetime warranty. Depending on the current state of you existing roof we may be able to put the new roofing over the old. Which saves you time and money. If the old roof has 2 or more layers it must be removed to the plywood deck. In that case the cost will be higher but in the event of any damage plywood it can be repaired before the new roof is installed.

When going with wood shingles you can choose between different thickness of shingle. Here are a few of the different species used Western Red Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar and Eastern White Cedar. Installation is a bit different as wood roofs are meant to breathe and should be laid over a substrate that allows air to circulate behind them.
